FAQ
My beer was too gassed, why?
Sometimes it happens that the beer is too carbonated / sparkling and too much foam, why is this happening?
This happens if you have been too abundant with the quantities of sugar before bottling (priming).
Remember for those who use hops malt that the required quantities vary from beer to beer and therefore if you use the measuring cups is recommended to reduce the doses of about half in the 3kg or Brewferm malts.
Another reason why it can happen is the fact that the beer was bottled when the fermentation was not completed or before the achievement of the FG (if it varies by 1 or 2 points changes little but by 5-10 we risk "the fountain effect" ).
The advice is not to bottle before time because even if the final gravity is reached, the beer stays 3-4 days in the fermenter nothing happens.
Other causes can finally be identified in the temperature of the fermentation (under 16 ° C) or excessive sanitization with a bad rinsing of the fermenter: in this case the sanitizer will inhibit the activity of the yeast which will not be able to complete the
