Developed in France in 2006, Triskel is a cultivar of French hops, Strisselspalt and English varietal, Yeoman. With a more pronounced nose than its French parent, Triskel creates a unique alternative to the first must and its remarkable aromatic qualities make it suitable as a late addition or for dry hopping. Very popular for Belgian or lighter style beers, it is characterized by an elegant combination of floral and subtle fruity notes with some citrus fruits.
Triskel, Bouclier and Aramis are the first three officially registered varieties born from the varietal research program of the Alsatian sector. All three varieties were created in a continuous effort to increase the alpha percentage of Strisselspalt maintaining its precious aromatic profile.
